Madden Warranty
MADDEN EQUIPMENT - WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
Madden Equipment guarantees products to be free from defects in both material and workmanship for the length of the warranty period from the original date of purchase. This "Warranty" ensures that any defective part will be repaired or replaced at Madden Equipment's discretion.
To use the warranty, we require the model number, serial number, proof of purchase, and service records if applicable.
Standard Madden Domestic Warranty - 1 Year
1. RESIDENTIAL / NON-COMMERCIAL USAGE
1.1 Product covered for the full duration of the warranty period which provides parts, labour, and carriage effective from the date of purchase.
2. POLICY NOTES
2.1 Continual from the date of purchase and does not restart at any time or under any circumstances. Warranties are not transferable.
2.2 The warranty is only valid when the machine receives all preventative maintenance and is serviced as per the manufacturer’s documentation with recommended oils and with genuine Madden parts.
2.3 Madden will not be liable for any downtime. We cannot offer a loan of machine or compensation for downtime.
3. IN THE EVENT OF A FAULT
3.1 Please contact Madden Equipment where our aftersales team will guide you through basic diagnostics to determine the fault. If we are unable to resolve the issue, we will request that the machine be returned to us for further inspection and testing.
4. TRANSIT OF GOODS
4.1 Madden Equipment will arrange for the collection of goods within the warranty period. If the fault is covered under warranty, the collection, repair, and return of the machine will be free of charge. However, extended postcode areas may incur additional carriage costs.
4.2 If the fault is non-warranty, the customer must pay for transportation, handling, and workshop labour charges. Extended postcode areas may incur surcharges.
4.3 The customer is responsible for draining all fuel and oil from the machine.
4.4 The customer must safely and securely package the machine, preferably in the original packaging. A pallet may also be required for larger items.
4.5 We only accept responsibility for the machine upon receipt and inspection at our facility.
4.6 We can arrange collection at our cost.
4.7 Upon completion of repairs, we will arrange for the machine to be returned at our cost. Extended postcodes may incur a surcharge.
5. INSPECTION & REPAIR OF MACHINERY
5.1 At our discretion, we will provide a like-for-like replacement or repair any components that have failed within the warranty period.
5.2 Madden Equipment will inform you of any costs outside of the warranty before commencing repairs.
6. PARTS ONLY REQUEST
6.1 The customer may request parts under the warranty agreement.
6.2 Madden Equipment will accept photographic evidence of failed components if it is clear the failure is due to a manufacturing defect. If not, the failed part must be returned for inspection.
7. WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
7.1 Items not covered by Warranty include, but are not limited to:
- General wear and tear and user misuse (incorrect usage / wrong application)
- Damage from lack of maintenance (service schedule not followed / no proof of servicing)
- Accidents, improper installation, storage, water ingestion, frost, overheating, marine environments, incorrect pressure, overloading, and fuel-related problems.
- Modified products, unauthorised repairs, and service items such as spark plugs, carburettors, filters, etc.
- Wearing items like belts, brushes, blades, etc.
- The use of non genuine parts
- Damages during transit must be reported within 24 hours.
8. WARRANTY UPDATES
8.1 We reserve the right to change our warranty terms at any time.
RECOMMENDED DIESEL GENERATOR USAGE
3000RPM DIESEL GENERATORS
- Check oil level daily.
- Ensure battery is fully charged.
- Oil change service intervals: after first 20 hours, then every 100 hours or 12 months whichever is sooner.
Light Duty Only
Light duty rating is applicable for supplying power in portable and/ or intermittent applications. The average load should not be lower than 30% or higher than 80% of the rated output of the generator. Continuous use should not exceed 5 hours and annual operation should not exceed 250 hours to be within the sanctioned parameters. No overload capability is available. 1500RPM DIESEL GENERATORS
- Check oil and coolant levels daily.
- Ensure battery is fully charged.
- Oil change service intervals 250 hours or 12 months whichever is sooner.
Prime Power
Continuous daily use. The average load should be between 30% and 80% of the rated output of the generator.
Maximum power = rated power, plus 10% for a maximum 10% duty cycle. Total lifespan in excess of 10,000 hours can be achieved with correct maintenance and use.
